An inspired letter from Claudie concerning Parks

Dear friends,

I’m emerging today from several days of retreat and also several days of informal discussions in our marvellous Punta de Vacas Park!!!

Remember!!! 5 years ago, there was nothing on this land! A monolith that recalled the speech of great wisdom by our Maestro, Silo.

Who among us would accept without reservation that 5 years ago we would build 10 parks (of which 6 are complete, others in progress) in a space of time as short as 5 small years??

Who among us would not have been afraid of the sums that it would represent today?

Who among us would not have affirmed the number of other things in which we were involved (Africa among others) and that were demanding all our attention and our energy (time-money-heart-head)?

Who would have dared to tell Silo that his project was mere reverie, objecting that it was hardly possible?

But, voila! This great man, with global vision, of great wisdom, and constant concern for humanity and its process, doesn’t launch “reveries” charged with emotion but projects charged with goodness… that imply that each one of us goes further, surpasses ourselves in seeking the best of ourselves.

These Parks – as they have already shown – are the powerful founding elements of THIS NEW CIVILISATION that we are in the process of building. This is not about empty places, hotels, meeting places…

Rather they allow one to have this physical anchor and these inspirational landscapes for us to meet (council retreats, Pressenza meeting yesterday in PdV, seminars of all kinds, retreats of The School, individual or shared retreats of meditation) for us to assemble also to celebrate the days that remind us of the important moments of our common history…

But they are also and above all places launched strongly towards the future…

We are going to build them and we will meet there, our successors will amplify and multiply them… They will be the reference points when the pitiable remains of a system that is dying are completely in ashes. They are and will be places of peace, reflection, contact and sharing…

Already in their construction there are basic elements of a new spirit, something of “us” and something of “something… beyond”.

None of us can sustain such a project individually, not even a few of us. It is a sustained project, supported by “us”.

These parks are a challenge: a challenge to the system that we tackle with the head of a “geometrician-accountant”, to measure, to account, to weigh… a very rational head that sees the impossibility of its realisation.

This is another frequency, the same as that which we touch on when working profoundly on our aphorisms, on our deepest aspirations, on what we have always wanted, on what will survive us, on what will go beyond, on what will bring the barriers and limits down…

It’s also a challenge to our era: to build together an impersonal place, not in the “for me and my own security”; a place that inspires, where everyone can testify what they want and ask for what they need…

These parks have an apparent anchor in time and in space (the monoliths testify to that) but they are a-temporal and a-spatial. While one goes into a Hall and meditates profoundly or asks with all the force of necessity, one is then in all the Halls, and together they act in copresence. They are the materialisation of an inner profound space in which we can all truly meet each other…

These Parks moreover are carriers of all the love that has been put there. It’s not their extraordinary functional side that makes them vibrate, it is rather heart-felt enthusiasm put by the thousands and thousands of individuals… and this “Presence” which can express itself there more freely, so sweetly, so luminously.

I know that this project creates fears, reflections of all sorts, self-justifications, doubts and a basic question: how are we going to do it?

Of course we are going to put our heads there!! But if we are numerous and launch our consciousness towards this project, it is rather that the head is going to move in the groove traced by our Guide.

These images that have circulated from the first visits are not commitments, the elements of painful thought: they are the images of this reality coming from images of the consciousness suffused with meaning and the Profound. The commission exists, made up of people reflecting since already two years and accompanied by still others thinking just as much. The Pangea association exists, the intentions have been materialised.

And these photos of the first visits mark the possibilities, the future.

And it’s us who are creating the future from an inspired today.

Finally, friends, in this Park project meaning is being invested by those who really want it, who register it in their own experience in the launch towards others and towards the future. Those who sometimes feel obscurely that in these places can germinate a process of profound transformation that will give birth to a new being and a new humanity.

I’d like through these words to manage to transmit to you a bit of this faith that makes everything possible… I hope that you have shared this light in the eyes “of the Maestro” when he is delighted to feel that “this is launched and already has continuity”.
